Terms & house rules
Last printed · 2026-07-10
These are the house rules of the club. Book a station or walk through the door and you are agreeing to them. They are short on purpose, in the same spirit as everything else here: two tones, no fine print you need a lamp to read.

0001. Hours
The floor is open midday to midnight from Monday to Thursday, midday to six in the morning on Friday and Saturday, and midday to midnight on Sunday. Last seats go out an hour before close. Hours can shift for a private event or a holiday; the occupancy board at the door and this page carry the current times.
-
0010. Bookings
Reserve a row and a time block online or at the desk. We hold your station for fifteen minutes past the start time, then release it to the floor. Cancel or move a booking by letting us know ahead of the start — there is no charge to change your mind. Time blocks buy time, not a better machine; every seat is built the same.
-
0011. Conduct on the floor
Keep it civil. The room stays quiet enough for the Ink row to focus and warm enough for the Paper row to relax. No abuse of staff or other players, no filming someone without a nod, and headsets on for voice chat. Ranks on the house board are kept by points and time only — this is entertainment, never money. Anyone who spoils the room for others is asked to leave.
-
0100. Equipment
Treat the gear like it is the last of its kind. Bring your own keyboard or mouse if you like — every station has a front port and a hook for your bag — and swap the club's kit back when you leave. Tell the desk about a fault rather than fighting it; we would rather fix a seat than let it fail on the next player. You cover deliberate damage; ordinary wear is on us.
-
0101. Food, drink and the room
Tea, instant coffee and hot water are free with any seat, and there are two kettles now so the queue is short. Lidded drinks at the desk, food in the break area, nothing sticky near a keyboard. We may update these rules; the current version lives here with its date.
